Richard B. Cheney, prominent businessman and public servant is vice president. Cheney a familiar face on the Washington political scene, has served under several U.S. presidents George W. Bush will be the fourth vice president, and is the elected president. Bush chose Cheney as his vice president running mate in July 2000, citing Cheney's insight judgment and experience. Dick Cheney is a former chief of the staff of the President. He also worked in Congress, and he was the secretary of defense. Both Republicans and Democrats admire him for his honesty and integrity. Cheney declares that he's a discreet but honest advisor for Bush in his administration. Cheney expressed excitement about being nominated for the Republican vice-presidential nomination. He said that he is looking forward working with a leader who can be a team player with individuals of diverse political beliefs and common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30th 1941) was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been married with Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. The family moved to Casper, Wyoming with his family at the age of 13. He was raised by his father who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and directed the soil conservation district of Casper.
